Lily Pad Inspiration

Hello Everyone ~ I had an inspiration photo to use for my Lily Pad Inspiration card today.

Well I went to the yarn store yesterday.  There were some gorgeous yarns and I enjoyed fingering them to find what I was looking for.  I got some yarn for a poncho and a shawl.  I want to get started on the poncho later today if I can get my needles straight.  I also spent some time reading my book club book I need for next week.  Today I need to go vote.  I also want to spend some time working on some cards using the images I stamped while I was in Maryland.  We are supposed to get some rain later today so it will be a good day to play in the studio.

We have an Inspiration challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiment this time.

When I first looked at this picture I immediately saw the water lily.  I knew I had to use the Sale-a-bration Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and the Lily Impressions designer series paper.  I began by choosing a strip of the dsp and mounted it onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock.  This panel was added to a Pool Party card base.  I used a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock and stamped the lily pad onto it using Garden Green ink.  The lily was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  To color the lily I used a sponge dauber and Flirty Flamingo ink to color the tips.  I then went back with a sponge dauber and Lovely Lipstick ink to do just the tips of the petals.  After all coloring was done, I used the coordinating Lily Pad dies to cut out the images.  I stuck the lily pad to the flower using glue dots.  The flower was then added to the upper portion of the card front using dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped using Pool Party ink in the lower right hand corner of the card front.  Here is my completed Lily Pad Inspiration creation.

Sale-a-bration has a suite of products you can earn for free with a qualifying order. I used those products for my Lily Pad Inspiration creation. Get the information for this pretty card.

I have used several Sale-a-bration items in my cards over the past couple of months.  This fun bee card uses some of the Golden Honey designer series paper.   Here is another idea for the Lily Pad bundle.    This one also uses the Golden Honey designer series paper for a clean and simple card.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I am hoping the rain holds off so we can walk this morning.  I love our morning walk and don’t like it when we can’t.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and do you have the Lily Pad products so you can C.A.S.E. my Lily Pad Inspiration idea?
