Colored Embossing Paste with a Stencil

Hello Everyone ~ I played with my translucent embossing paste to create my Colored Embossing Paste with a Stencil idea.

I went with Barb yesterday to do some shopping and then came home and spent some time in my craft room.  I was able to make several cards, a few I needed for a project that I have to get finished.  I am glad I got several cards made and a few of them used some of the images I had stamped while I was in Maryland.  I am not sure what I am doing today.  I had talked to Barb about going to the yarn store but I need to make sure they are open.  If we don’t go today we may try for Thursday as we have things going on the other days.

Today’s card has a background that I made a while ago.  I like pink and gray together so I took some of my translucent embossing paste and colored it with Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate.  I then used the retired Basic Pattern Decorative masks from the 2019 Holiday Catalog and some Whisper White card stock to add the embossing paste.  I added some of the Blushing Bride colored embossing paste in a small area.  Then I added some of the Smoky Slate embossing paste around it.  I continued to add the embossing paste alternating the colors so it had a overall colorful swirl pattern.  This panel was set aside to dry.  While it was drying I took a piece of the Polka Dot tulle ribbon and some Blushing Bride spritzer to color it.  This had to dry also.  When all the items were dry, I took the tulle ribbon and wrapped it around the lower portion of the embossing paste panel and attached it using Tear & Tape.  This panel was added to a Smoky Slate card base.  The Floral Essence stamp set was used to stamp the flower with Smoky Slate ink onto Blushing Bride card stock and then fussy cut out.  The leaves were stamped with Smoky Slate onto Smoky Slate card stock and the Leaf punch was used to punch it out.  The leaves were added to the back of the flower using glue dots.  The flower was then added to the lower left hand side of the card front using dimensionals.  The bow was tied and added to the strip of ribbon using glue dots.  Here is my completed Colored Embossing Paste with a Stencil creation.

I have used the embossing paste for other ideas.  Here is one where I used regular embossing paste and added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on top.  This idea uses the embossing paste and colored with black in for a dramatic look.   This card uses some of the translucent embossing paste that was colored with Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape ink for a fun card.
