Black Embossing Paste was fun to play with

Hello Stampers ~ I made some Black Embossing Paste for my card today!

I did a lot of knitting yesterday and got all my ironing completed.  I don’t like to iron so I usually save it until I have a lot.  Then I hate it even more.  I need to remember to not save it and do it when I get it then I won’t have as much to do and not hate it so much.  Lol, not sure that will happen but I can try!  Today I will be working on some cards for my blog as well as trying to do my recording for my One Color Wonder.  This evening I will have the girls as Jess is going to the airport to pick up Michaela.  She will be here for the weekend and then has to fly to Connecticut for work next week.  We have not seen her since the wedding in October.  There will be a lot of catching up!

I played with the embossing paste again.  This time I used the Memento Tuxedo Black refill to make some Black Embossing Paste.  I wanted to use it on a Bermuda Bay card base.  I knew I was going to use the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and this would be a great background for it.  Using the Pattern Party decorative masks I applied the black embossing paste to the card front and set it aside to dry.  While It was drying, I used the flower and stamped it with Crushed Curry on Whisper White and Crushed Curry card stock.  I used textured leaf spray and Basic Gray ink and stamped it on Whisper White and Basic Gray card stock.  The matching framelits were used to cut out the flowers and the leaves.  The sentiment is also in the set and it was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and punched out with a 1″ circle punch.  It was mounted onto a 1 1/4″ circle of Crushed Curry.  To assemble the card, I added the Bermuda Bay layer to a Basic Black card base.  The flowers and leaves were added with glue dots and dimensionals.  The sentiment was added with dimensionals.  To finish off the card and add my bling, I used a large rhinestone in the center of the flowers.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  We are due for some heavy rain and strong winds this evening.  Should make for an interesting landing for Michaela.  Have a Fabulous Friday and give Black Embossing Paste a try!
