Stampin’ Up Texture Chic Snowflake

Stampin’ Up Texture Chic Snowflake

Hello Everyone – I had some scraps that were left when I cut some pattern paper wrong and used them to make this beautiful Stampin’ Up Texture Chic Snowflake card.

Sometimes I cut my paper wrong and wonder what I can do with the paper. Most of the times the cuts are rectangles or squares but every once in a while I get a weird triangle and think I cannot use the paper and throw it away. This time I didn’t and decided to see if I could use it. After playing around with the placement I was able to come up with this design.

See how I used scrap papers to make this beautiful Stampin' Up Texture Chic Snowflake card.

I wanted a snowflake in the center so I pulled out some retired glitter paper and as luck would have it, it had a greenish tint and went well with the pattern paper.

I wanted some sparkle and thought about some rhinestones but then remembered the Metallic Mesh ribbon. The strip was too wide so I folded it in half and attached it to left piece of pattern paper following the diagonal edge. I tied a small bow and added it at the top. Love how this looks and will be using that ribbon folded more often!

Look at how I modified the ribbon for this Stampin' Up Texture Chic Snowflake card.

The snowflake in this set is fun to play with. I used it along with a stencil I made with the dies for this simple winter card idea. This was the card I made where I cut the paper wrong that allowed me to make this card.

I love the splatter embossing folder with the snowflakes. It was a change from using the Timeworn Type one. What is your favorite embossing folder to use with snowflakes?

I hope my Stampin’ Up Texture Chic snowflake inspired you to use your triangle scraps in a fun way. Thanks for visiting me today!

Have a Sensational Sunday!
