Stampin’ Up Season of Chic Snowflake
Hello Everyone – I played with creating my own stencil to make today’s Stampin’ Up Season of Chic Snowflake creation.
I love playing with my products to see how I can use them in different ways. Today’s card was the result of one of those play times. I love the two-tone snowflakes and they are easy to do.
I have to admit the Season of Chic bundle and coordinating paper is one of my favorite suites in the annual catalog. I love using it for these simple cards.
Check out those blended snowflakes. To make them I cut the die out of a piece of white card stock. Cut it in the middle so you can apply your ink and not have to worry about getting stray in on your card. Save the die cut to reinsert back into your template. Take the template and place it on your paper. Use your blending brush and ink pad to apply ink to the die cut opening. When you have your ink applied to your liking, take the die cut and reinsert it back into the opening. Now apply ink on top of it so you get the 2 tone effect and see the detail more. Here is a close up so you can see what I am explaining.
I love the snowflake in the set and it was perfect to use for the inside of the card and envelope. It also made the perfect focal point on the front of the card.
Here is another card that uses the pattern paper from the suite to make a snowflake card in a different color. This card uses the snowflake with the Storybook Gnomes pattern paper for another fun winter card.
I can’t wait to play with some more dies and see if I can create more stencils. Be watching for these in the upcoming months.
I hope the Stampin’ Up Season of Chic Snowflake creation has inspired you to play with your dies in different ways.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
