Masculine Birthday

Hello Stampers ~ do you need a masculine birthday card?  I have an idea for you today!

Well I did not get in my flower beds yesterday.  I had Remi until about 8 and by that time it was too late.  I am hoping to get out there today unless the rain gets me.  I hope it does not so I can at least get another part of the weeding completed.  Cross your fingers for me!

Today I wanted to use some of the Going Places ds paper and give my Bags & Tags ladies another idea.  I began with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

I loved the simplicity of this sketch and I knew the By the Seashore set would be perfect for this one.  I began by choosing my ds paper.  I chose the striped paper.  Instead of running my stripes vertical, I chose to run them horizontal.  After I had my card base completed it was time to add my other elements.  I chose to use the seashells from the By the Seashore stamp set.  After I stamped them I cut them out.  I then needed my banner.  I stamped my sentiment and flagged the end.  I mounted it on a piece of Early Espresso.  I attached it to my card base and then added my seashells.  My card was complete!  Here is my finished creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be working in my craft room and relaxing today!  What plans do you have?  Have a Sensational Sunday and take some time to make a masculine birthday card!
