Seashore Birthday

Happy Memorial Day Everyone ~ the beach has some great ideas for a Seashore Birthday card!

Well I did not get into my flower bed yesterday because of the rain.  It is supposed to rain all day today also.  I am hoping by the evening it will slack of so I can get out and pull some weeds!  If not I will try on Tuesday.

I am again using some of the Going Places ds paper stack so my customers have some ideas to use the paper they got from the Bags & Tags class.  My share today began with the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches

I thought it would be fun to use the By the Seashore set again.  I checked out my paper and looked for one that I thought would work.  There is one that has a lot of peaks on it and it reminded me of sand dunes.  I chose to use that paper.  I mounted it on my Early Espresso card base.  I then inked the starfish with Crumb Cake and used a sponge dauber to ink the edges using Calypso Coral.  I stamped it onto my Very Vanilla and cut it out.  I added this to the card front using a dimensional.  Next I needed to address the other circle elements.  There is a paper in the pack that kinds looks like sirling water.  I used my punches to cut out my circle and attached them to my card.  Now I needed my sentiment so I stamped the Happy Birthday with Memento and used the banner punch to flag the ends.  When I was working on this post I realized 2 things.  One I only have 4 of the 5 circle elements and two my circles are opposite the ones in the sketch.  Oh well the idea is there!  Here is my final creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be working on a few things in my craft room.  I have to start working on my pocket letter so I have it ready to mail out next week.  Have a Marvelous Memorial Day Monday and I would love to see what you could come up with for a Seashore Birthday card!
