An Easy Card Making Idea

Hello Everyone ~ Would you like An Easy Card Making Idea?

Bijou and I went down to the house to check it out.  She was all over sniffing everything.  We went into all the rooms and just looked around.  She did fine and I think she will be excited to get back into a house.  After that I came back and ironed my clothes.  In the afternoon Barb, Barbara, and I went to the theater.  We saw Aladdin Jr that was put on by the local theater group.  This play was actually performed by children ~ middle and high school age ~ rather than adults.  The kids did a great job and we enjoyed it.  After the show I came back and started packing up my craft room.  I got my ink, embossing folder, thinlits, and stamp sets packed up.  It is looking really bare over there.  Today I am headed to the Laz-y-boy store to get my fabric for my benches that has come in.  I also have book club this evening.  I will be packing up some more items in between.  I figure if I pack at least 5 boxes each day I will be done before Friday when the movers will be here.

I have a quick card for you today.  It is basically white whit some Call Me Clover ribbon and stamped image.  I began by stamping the leaf from Oh So Eclectic using the Call Me Clover ink.  The solid image was a second generation stamping with the textured stamp stamped full strength.  The coordinating framelit was used to cut it out.  Now to do all the other layers!  I used the Layering Ovals to cut out an oval a little larger than the leaf.  I then cut out the scalloped oval that was a little larger than the plain one.  I took the scalloped oval and using the Call Me Clover ink and a sponge I inked the edges.  I attached the 2 layers and added the leaf cut out using dimensionals.  My card base is Whisper White and I wanted to add another layer so I used the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder to emboss it.  The embossed panel was added using a piece of fun foam that was slightly smaller than the panel.  Using some of the Call Me Clover 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon I added a strip that zigzagged across the middle of the card.  The oval panel was added to the center over the ribbon using dimensionals.  My sentiment was stamped and the end was flagged.  I added this using glue dots making sure to tuck the unflagged end under the ovals.  Here is An Easy Card Making Idea for you today.

Now, how cute is that? We sometimes make it hard to design.
