Anything Goes Saturday – Gel plate
Happy Saturday stampers – another product idea is shared today with the Anything Goes Saturday – Gel plate creation.
I ran across my gel plate as I was organizing my studio and I could not remember the last time I had used it. Today I will share some ideas with you.
Today’s Project
I knew you could use the gel plate with acrylic paint but I was wondering if there were other ways to use it. I did some research and ran across a video by Tiffany Solorio where she shows how she used alcohol inks. I decided to give it a try with a few modifications. In her video she used alcohol ink lifter reinker. I did not have that and she said you could use gesso. I opted to use the gesso. I have to say I had a lot of problems and I am not sure if it is because my gel plate is bad. It was fun and I got several pages I can use for die cutting. I managed to get 1 page I could use to create a card with. Here is the page and card I created with it.
This was the page I used to create the card on the left.
I chose to cut the image panel into 2 sections. The smaller section was used to punch flowers and some leaf sprays. To have the flowers and leaves stand out I used a gold marker to out them.

I have not used my gel plate for several years. I think I need to play with it some more. Here is a card that used the gel plate to create the background.
