Anything goes Saturday – Uniquely Creative Steampunk butterfly
Hello everyone – I challenged myself to use one of my kits to make today’s Anything goes Saturday – Uniquely Creative Steampunk butterfly card.
This month I have chosen to focus on using some of my kits as they were not being used. I am sure you will love what Vicky has created. Make sure you check out her project here.
I have not played with steampunk much. It is not a type of card making that makes sense to me. But in order to grow and learn you sometimes have to work outside your comfort zone.
Today’s Project
To be honest I have avoided this kit as I am not comfortable with steampunk. I can’t get into the images with all the metal and gears. But since I paid for the kit I decided I needed to see if I couldn’t use it. I chose to go fairly safe and chose to use one of the butterflies from the ephemera kit.
The butterfly was lost on the card so I punched out a blue circle to add it to. I also opted to use one of the other papers in the kit to create a tag and punch out a leaf spray. I also added some gray twine and some metallic gems.

I have used this kit one other time. I created this Halloween card with it. Maybe that is why I struggle with using Steampunk, I see it as Halloween. lol This was a card I created using another Uniquely Creative kit I have.
