Border Dies for Card Making
Happy Sunday Stampers ~ Coastal Cabana is the star of my Border Dies for Card Making idea today.
This week I am focusing on some new dies in the 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog. The Border Dies offer a variety of designs to add just the right accent to your cards. I love playing with my dies in fun ways so let’s see what I have for today.
Using a neutral color can put the focus on the shape of the die. For today’s card I used the black and white paper from the True Love patterned paper pack. When I layered the 2 papers the border die was lost. To make it stand out more I thought it would be a good idea to add a background color. I chose to use Coastal Cabana as I thought the color really highlighted the decorative edge.
Before I put the layered panel onto the card base, I thought it would look great with some ribbon. The Metallic Mesh ribbon was the perfect one to use as it did not detract from the edge. I tied a simple bow using it.
Once the panel was added to the card base, I felt it needed something. Not wanting to add an image I opted for a sentiment. It was die cut with the layering circles and then layered onto the card front with dimensionals. Here is today’s idea for Border Dies for Card Making!
Look at how I used the patterned paper to create this unique card element. I used the same patterned paper for this great card front you can see in this video.
I know you are going to have to have those Border Dies. Click the image below of the supplies I used and add it to your card.
