Brightly Gleaming Thinking of You

Hello Everyone ~ I have used some different colors for my leaves in my Brightly Gleaming Thinking of You creation.

Yesterday I spent 2 hours at the library with a make-n-take.  I did have 3 people come by.  One lady said she had a friend who was going to come with her but a family emergency came up.  Of the ladies who came, they said they were interested in the class so I am hoping a few of them sign up for the class.  After that I came home and took down my fall decor on the front porch and put up my Halloween front porch decor.  I need to do some searching on Pinterest as I need some other ideas.  It is hard to see but there is a cauldron that all the glitter netting is coming out of.  I also have lights running through it.  Here is what is currently looks like.  If you have any suggestions, send them my way.

I saw all the leaves and knew I wanted to play with those.  I did decide to use some different colors for my leaves to give you some other color ideas.  I began with a piece of Very Vanilla that I embossed using the Subtle embossing folder.  I added 2 strips of the Brightly Gleaming dsp across the bottom portion of the Very Vanilla panel.  This panel was then added to a Pretty Peacock card base.  Using another piece of Very Vanilla card stock I sponged on Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, and Pretty Peacock ink randomly.  To create my leaves I used the leaf from Colorful Seasons and stamped it using Versamark.  It was then embossed using Copper embossing powder and the coordinating die was used to cut them out.  I took a pearlized doily and an alcohol marker and colored it to match the Pretty Peacock.  When it was dry the doily was pleated using glue dots and then added to the left hand side of the card in the lower portion.  The sentiment from the stamp set was stamped using Pretty Peacock and then a die from Ornate Frames dies.  The sentiment was added using dimensionals.  The leaves were then tucked around the sentiment and doily using glue dots and dimensionals.  Here is the completed Brightly Gleaming Thinking of You.

The color for these leaves was based on the designer series paper used. Don't miss what colors I used for my Brightly Gleaming Thinking of You creation.

  1. Good morning Robbie,
This is a great color combination for a masculine card. I also enjoyed yesterdays card as well. I wish I lived closer so I could attend your classes. 🙂
Thank you for your time and sharing your creativity.
    Have a great day.

    • Lin ~ I would love it if you could attend my classes. I am toying with the idea of doing classes online so keep your eyes open it may happen!

Thanks for taking time to leave me a comment!
