Coloring Down the Lines – Island Indigo with a leaf

Good Morning Ladies!

Are you ready for our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop?  The ladies have decided to add a twist to the hop from now on.  We will do a color challenge but there will be an added requirement to the challenge.  Here are the colors with the added twist.

Island Indigo, Rose Red, Garden Green

                                    OR
Island Indigo, Pool Party, Calypso Coral

Added piece – Must use a leaf on your card

When I saw the added piece of using a leaf I could have easily used the first color choice.  But I wanted to challenge myself so I used the second color combination.  I played with inking the stamps up with sponge daubers but it was a little lighter than I wanted.  I decided to use a mixture of inking techniques.  I also tried using Calypso Coral on the edges but as you can see it turned brown.  Here is my creation.

So what do you think of my card?  It was fun adding the twist to the color challenge.  Want to see what the other ladies created using these colors and the twist?  Head on Down the Lines to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see which colors she used and how she used a leaf in her creation.

Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

  1. I like it a lot. The patterned leaves give a nice twist to our challenge. And the home made envelope is super. Great challenge.
