Coloring Down the Lines – Just Because

Hello Ladies!

Well I got quite a bit completed on my hand sanitizers yesterday.  I am hoping to finish up the stars today so I can begin to put them together.  I would like to deliver them next week.  I also have an appointment to finalize my taxes.  I have to pay in big time this year so I am not in any hurry to finish them up.

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  In continuing with our April Showers theme, here is our picture for this week.

While I was checking out my challenge blogs last week I ran across a sketch that I loved.  I had the page open in one of my tabs since last week.  I thought this sketch would be perfect for our challenge.  The sketch is from Share Joy Challenge.
I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this sketch.  I took the bottom element and cut a wavy line from a piece of Mossy Meadow.  I then stamped it with the Timeless Textures stamp set.  I took a piece of white and embossed it using the Woodland embossing folder.  I attached the Mossy piece to the bottom of the embossed piece.  Next I needed to address the circle element.  I decided to do a punched flower.  I punched my pieces and then used the Timeless Textures stamp set to add some texture.  I then layered my punched pieces to form my flower.  I then attached this layer to a black layer and attached to my white card base.  I then stamped and embossed my sentiment and attached to the bottom of my card.  To finish it off I punched a simple flower and tied a little bow from some black twine I had.  I attached it underneath the larger flower and at the end of the sentiment strip to hide the end.  My card only needed a rhinestone for the center of the flower.  Here is my completed creation.
inside of card and envelope – I am not real thrilled with how these turned out.  It was an experiment that did not turn out how I had hoped.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Wish me luck with my taxes as I will have a hard time with having to pay in so much money!  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
