Craftin’ Round the World Woven Heart

Happy Friday Stampers – I used the Scandinavian technique of weaving paper to make the fun heart for the Craftin’ Round the World Woven Heart card.
Another challenge at Craftin’ Round the World is a sketch challenge.

Today’s Project
I was intrigued by the sketch and wanted to give it a try. I ran across the Scandinavian woven heart and decided to use it instead of the rectangle in the center of the card. All the tutorials I could find were for larger hearts. I played around and finally made one that was more appropriate in size to my card.

I pulled in pattern paper from the Mintay Chocolate Kiss collection and mixed and matched some for my card. I also used a heart embossing folder for the panels in the background.

Hearts are popular for Valentine crafting. This card uses some other heart paper and punches for a clean and simple idea. Need a masculine idea? Check out this one that uses a simple layout.

How do you make the woven heart?
Judy – I goggled Scandinavian Woven Heart and several videos came up. I just adjusted the size to make a smaller one for my card.
