Hello Everyone!
Well we had an interesting phone call on Thursday evening. Michaela (my baby girl) said she wanted to do some Face Time with us but it would be late our time. We did not think anything of it so when she called Josh her boyfriend was there also. Still didn’t think anything of it until she flashed her hand in front of the screen and we saw a ring. Wednesday evening he proposed to her. So there will be a California wedding next Fall for us! Here is a picture of the happy couple right after he asked her.
We are excited as Josh is a great guy and treats her well!
I did get a lot accomplished yesterday. I finished up two items for the craft fair next weekend. I also managed to make my cards through Wednesday so I have something to post. I even printed and stamped my business cards! I will cut them up today so I can include them in my packaging.
When I started thinking about my cards for my posts this week I went looking for some inspiration. I was interested in the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew Challenges.
This sketch was one I had to take each element apart to figure out what I was going to do. I knew I needed some shape for the Soft Sky shape in the background. I pulled out my catalog to see what current framlits I had. Once I had that determined I knew I was going to use the oval shape. Next I had to find a stamp set – sometimes I pick my stamp set and that determines my colors and sometimes I choose my colors and that determines the stamp set I will use. In this case I chose my stamp set first and then it dictated the colors. Now that I have my colors and stamp set, I can start stamping.
I created the oval image and the bottom layer. Then I wanted to address the flower shape To do something different, I decided to use a bow. When I set all the pieces on my background it was missing something. I then decided it need to be embossed. After that all I had to do was assemble my card. Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

Thanks for visiting me today. I am going to swim lessons with Jess today as Zoie will be in one class and she and Remi will be in another. This will be the test run to see if she can do it by herself if she has to. When I get home I will be back in my craft room to work on a few more projects. Have a Super Saturday!
