Flirty Flamingo

Good Morning Everyone ~ Don’t you love my title – have your ever heard of a flirty flamingo?

Well I manged to get 2 Christmas cards designed for my Christmas club.  I need to give my customers a sneak peek so they can see what they will be missing if they don’t sign up!  Today will be a quiet day as I only have an appointment this morning and then Bijou is going to the spa this afternoon for her long overdue grooming!  I am glad as she was starting to look a little rough around the edges!

We have a very short hop today.  Many of our hoppers have this going on this week so they were not able to get their card completed.  Here are the colors we had to choose from.

Stampin’ Up color matches

I took a little liberty with the colors this week.  I knew I wanted to use the Basic Black with the Flirty Flamingo (one of our new in colors and not the bird).  Finding some dsp that had that color in it was a challenge as the one that had it in there also had colors not on the list.
Once I had my colors I then wanted a sketch to design my card around.  I found one that I knew I could work with at Fab Friday.
The Fruit Stand dsp is the only paper that had the Flirty Flamingo in it.  It also only has it on 1 piece.  I pulled that piece out and cut it for my square I then stamped my flower from the  Fresh Fruit stamp set and cut it out.  I mounted this on a piece of Basic Black with dimensionals.  My black square was then added to my dsp using dimensionals.  To finish off my card I stamped my sentiment using White Craft ink and added white embossing powder.  After heat setting it my panel was done and ready to be added to my card base which was Flirty Flamingo.  Here is my completed card.

Now it is time to check out Helen’s blog – Blue Dahlia Designs  to see her creation.  I am sure it will be amazing!
Thanks for visiting me today.  I am going to try and organize some more as well as see what I can come up with for my last Christmas Club card.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and I hope your enjoyed my Flirty Flamingo card!
