From Butterfly to Flying Bats

Good Morning Ladies!

Did you enjoy World Card Making
Day yesterday?  I spent the day working on all kinds of things.  I got a
lot finished but not everything I wanted to do.

I ran across a card on the Card Maker blog
that I thought would be fun to redo as a Halloween card.  The original
card had suspended snowflakes when you opened it.  I thought it would be
fun to make Halloween card with suspended bats.

I
recently saw a tutorial where they used the butterfly punch and a 3/4″
circle punch to make a bat.  I decided to use this idea for the bats for
the inside of my card.

I created my inside scene first.  I used the Holiday Home and created a Halloween night scene.  The tricky part to the suspended bats is making sure the box is not so large that it sticks out when you close the card.  Once the inside was complete, I chose to use ds paper for the outside to keep it simple.  Here is my card.

I enjoyed making this card.  It did take some time but it was worth it as I love how the inside turned out.  I may be doing a winter version of this card in a few months.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be playing again today as I have some design team commitments to work on.  Have a Sensational Sunday!
