Hello Everyone ~ sometimes a simple card has a wow factor like this Grapefruit Grove Friend card.
I had a very productive day yesterday. I put my card kits together I needed, worked on some of the many In Color bookmarks I needed, and packaged up several items I need to mail out today. We are supposed to get a Tropical Storm so I wanted to get a lot done. I still have a few projects on my to do list but now that I have these tasks crossed off I can focus on the other things. Today I have a conference call this morning and then I have my Facebook Live ~ Lunchtime with Robbie. After the Facebook Live I will go to the post office. Hopefully by then most of the rain will be over.
I am continuing to play with my retiring In Colors. I only have a few left. I should finish up later this week. Today’s card was clean and simple idea. I began with a piece of Whisper White. Using the splotch from Painted Poppies and Grapefruit Grove ink I did a 3 generation stamping on the lower third of the panel. The daisy from the Ornate Style stamp set was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the ink in the lid and an aqua painter to color the flower. The center was colored using a Daffodil Delight marker. The sentiment comes from the Heartfelt set and was stamped using Grapefruit Grove ink. This panel was added to a Grapefruit Grove panel. These were then added to a Whisper White card base. To finish the card a small Grapefruit Grove ribbon was tied using the grosgrain ribbon. The bow was added to the flower stem using glue dots. Here is the completed Grapefruit Grove Friend creation.

This card also uses that pretty daisy for another idea. This card uses a soft blue for the perfect clean and simple card. This idea uses a different image with some dry embossing for a very pretty card.
