Handmade All Occasion Card
Hello Everyone – A pretty Handmade All Occasion Card is what I am sharing with you today.
The majority of the cards I make are all occasion cards. I make lots of those as I can then use them whenever I need them. I just look through my stash and pull out one that goes with the person and occasion I need it for. I can then pop on a sentiment to personalize each card. This is a great strategy to build up your stash of cards and be prepared for when ever you need a card.
My focus this week is the Summer Shadows dies from Sale-a-bration. These dies coordinate with the Shaded Summer stamp set in the Annual Catalog. You can get these dies free with $100 purchase.
Today’s card used just the dies. I loved the flower image in this die set. I knew I could make a great card with it. The leaves were perfect for adding just the right touch. I cut the open flower from white and Pale Papaya. I then inlaid the white pieces to fill in the flower. I also created a second flower with reverse colors as the pieces were already cut. The small solid flower was cut out of white and the center was sponged with the Pale Papaya ink.
The flowers needed some leaves so I used Soft Succulent to cut out the solid and outline pieces. I then added glue and layered them. All the flowers and leaves were clustered onto an Evening Evergreen circle. Some pattern paper was added for interest in the background. To finish off the card some Gold fine art ribbon was added with a bow. Check out this adorable Handmade All Occasion Card idea.
I have quite a few all occasion cards on my blog. Check out this idea that also used patterned paper with some stamped and die cut flowers. If you have some butterfly lovers you can use a large die to create this beauty to send to them.
