Well I got another thing crossed off my list yesterday. I even started cleaning up my craft room which is long overdue! I will be finishing it up today so I can spend some time creating! I am hoping to make a video since the kids will be gone for a while today. If not I will see about doing one on Monday. Wish me luck!
I saw a sketch at The Share the Joy Challenge which I knew would be perfect to use some of my designer series paper that may be a pattern I am not fond of. Here is the sketch.
This sketch is a great way to use a paper that you are not fond of. I have several papers that are just not my favorite. Usually if that happens I like the other side so I can use the one side and not have to worry about it. Every once in a while though there is a sheet that I just do not care for either side. When that happens I am always looking for a way to use it where I can hide it. Here is the way I used the above sketch to hide some of this paper.
I chose a black card base and attached a piece of Playful Palette ds paper. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and using my circle punches to punch some holes in the card stock. I then used my large polka dot embossing folder to emboss the panel. A piece of Sweet Sugarplum ruched ribbon was added down the side. I attached this over top the ds paper with sticky tape. My sentiment was stamped on a piece of Cucumber Crush card stock. I used the Banner Triple punch to flag the end of the strip. To apply it to my card, I added some glue dots to the straight end and inserted it into the punched circle and stuck it down. Here is my completed creation.
