Hello Ladies ~ today I have a colorful stencil card to share. I love the color on this card!
What plans do you have for the weekend? I have a workshop this morning and then I need to finish up my newsletter and get it mailed out. Then I want to play and I even want to do some knitting as I have not done that in a while. If the girls go up to their grandmother’s it will be easier. I have some things I want to play with but I need time and quiet!
I have another card I created for the stencil extravaganza at Card a Day challenge blog. This was one I wanted to give a try so I decided this was the perfect opportunity to give it a try. Here are the directions I used.
Tape down your white card stock to a hard surface. Attach your stencil to your hard surface overtop the white card stock. Use some Embossing Paste and an old credit card to spread the paste all over the card stock. Gently pull off the stencil and immediately clean off the paste under running water. Set the card stock aside to dry over night.
The next day, take the card stock and using Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, and Rich Razzleberry ink and apply to the card front using a make up sponge. I spritzed it with water and allowed to dry. Once dry, remove the tape and use a paper trimmer to cut down the card stock. I mounted it onto a piece of Basic Black card stock cut a little larger that the white piece with Rear & Tape. These layers were added to a white card base.
I used Whisper White craft ink to stamp my sentiment from the Fresh Fruit stamp set and heat set using Whisper White embossing powder. Use the Curvy Corner Trio punch to punch opposite corners of the sentiment strip. I added it to the lower right hand corner using dimensional. I pulled out some of my black glimmer paper and the Bold Butterfly framelits to cut out a butterfly. I attached it to the upper left hand corner of the card base using dimensional.
Here is my completed creation!

Thanks for visiting me today. I am really hoping I can get some time to knit today as I am quite a bit behind on my mystery knit-along. Have a Super Saturday and I hope you enjoyed my Colorful Stencil today!
