I Love Chevrons

Happy Friday Everyone ~ I have to admit that I love Chevrons on a card.  I miss the Chevron background stamp we used to have.  How about you?

Yesterday I kept Remi in the morning while Jess had an appointment.  When she got back I had to run to the store.  I needed some M&M’s.  I made a list of a few other things I needed and took off.  I got back feeling really good as I had gotten everything on my list.  Later I was in my craft room playing and realized I needed to set up for my workshops today.  I then looked at the little gift I was giving each person coming and realized I had not gotten the M&M’s.  They were not on my list so I forgot them.  Needless to say I had to go back to the store.  This time I got 3 bags to make sure I had enough.  I managed to get my little gift made and still had a bag I had not opened.

My card today is for the challenge at CASology.  They wanted you to use Chevrons on your card.  

Week 205: CHEVRON

 

When I saw the challenge I immediately thought of the chevrons in Work of Art.  I pictured in my mind that the chevrons would be vertical on the card front with an image on top.  I was going to use a butterfly but it just did not look right.  So I decided to use a fun flower from Flower Patch.  I stamped it it and then used the matching framelits to cut it out.  I attached the petals and added the flower to the card front with dimensionals.  I sprinkled a few smaller flowers on the front and stamped my sentiment in the lower right hand corner.  Here is my completed creation.
