Inlaid Celebrate Sunflowers Technique

Hello Everyone ~ I have a fun technique for you today with my Inlaid Celebrate Sunflowers Technique creation.

The tropical storm is supposed to out of our area today.  I am sure there will be quite a bit of clean up due to the high winds.  I am just hoping I do not have to deal with downed trees.   I have a lot of pine trees around me and they have shallow roots.  Usually we loose a lot of them during past storms.  I am crossing my fingers if any do fall they fall away from the house.

Today I am hoping to spend some time in my studio playing with some other ideas and making some videos.  A lot will depend on Bijou and how she is doing.  She will probably be ok just insecure since I left her at the vets.  She has a bed upstairs in my studio so I can take her up there with me if need be.  I have some new products I want to play with so I am hoping to be able to do that.

The Celebrate Sunflowers bundle is a great bundle to play with.  There are a few techniques you can play with using the dies.  One of them is the inlaid technique.  I used it for my card today and made a video with some tips on how to line up the die cut.  Check out the video for my Inlaid Celebrate Sunflowers Technique card.

Features of the Card

  • Celebrate Sunflowers bundle
  • card base ~ Whisper White – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″    and   scrap
  • Cherry Cobbler ~ 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Crushed Curry ~ 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Regals patterned paper stack ~ Cherry Cobbler – 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″

Have you tried the inlaid technique? I combined that technique with some dry embossing to get my Inlaid Celebrate Sunflowers Technique.

Stampin’ Up supplies used for my creation

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  After all this rain it will be really humid.  I will be spending lots of time inside.  Hopefully I will have air conditioning!  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and what other stamp set could you use the technique like the one I did for my Inlaid Celebrate Sunflowers Technique with?
