Hello Everyone ~ I am sharing a Just Breathe Floral Essence creation with you today.
Well Jacob Andrew Guesman made his appearance at 7:28 AM Pacific Time. Here is his photo.
He had a good healthy weight as you can see from the photo below despite being 2 1/2 weeks early.
Momma and baby are doing just fine! I can’t wait to spend some time with him in January. I have gotten a couple of other pictures and in each picture he is alert and his eyes are open. He does not look like a newborn. I haven’t seen him up close but he looks like he has Michaela’s nose. I am sure I will get lots of photos over the next few days.
We have our last challenge of the year at Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges today. We have a sketch challenge this time and I had fun playing with it.
I wanted to play with some designer series paper but did not want to do a full panel on the background. I decided to use a strip across the card for the small horizontal strip on the sketch. I wanted something neutral so I sent looking and found the perfect pattern in Perennial Essence designer series paper. I thought the dark watercolor pattern was perfect and did not add too much pattern. I cut a 1″ x 5 1/2″ and mounted it onto a piece of Silver foil paper. Scrap paper was used to stamp the flower from Floral Essence in Blackberry Bliss twice and the coordinating punch was used to punch them out. They were layered using glue dots. The leaves from the set were stamped with Mossy Meadow and punched out with the Leaf punch. The petals were curled using my pokey tool and then they were attached to the back of the flower using glue dots. My card base was Whisper White and I used the sprocket image from Colorful Seasons and Smoky Slate to do some generation stamping across the card front on a diagonal. To address the sentiment element in the sketch I used the one in Colorful Seasons and stamped it in Blackberry Bliss. The layered patterned paper was added across the card front just below center. The flower element was attached using glue dots. To finish the card I added a clear Faceted gem to the center of the flower. Here is the completed Just Breath Floral Essence creation.

These ideas also use the Floral Essence and Perennial Essence designer series paper. This idea uses the stamp set with some of the See a Silhouette dsp. For this card I used one of the other images in the stamp set and colored using 2 different colors. Watercolored card stock was used to make the flowers for this card and then paired with the Delicate Lace edgelit dies.
