Leave a Little Sparkle

Hello Everyone ~ I played with a new stamp set for my Leave a Little Sparkle creation today.

Well I was hoping to have some baby news for you when I wrote this last night.  Michaela went into the hospital late Saturday night and they started inducing her for medical reasons.  Both she and the baby are fine and she is only 2 1/2 Weeks earlier than her due date so things are ok.  As of last night when I wrote this she still had not had the baby.  I am hoping that I have news to share with you tomorrow.  Hopefully everything goes well so I can keep my plan to go out in January.  Will let you know when I have any news.  Since I am headed out of town next week for a few weeks I am busy working on ideas for the blog.  I am hoping to have lots of things to take with me so that all I have to do is take the photo and write the post.

Today’s card uses a set I bought during the sale a few weeks ago.  It has been on my wish list as it is something I can use for the girls.  Both girls are into unicorns so this was the perfect set for them.  I stamped the unicorn using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  To color it in, I pulled out several markers.  I colored the horn using the Crushed Curry .  The flowers were colored with Blushing Bride and Bermuda Bay.  To color the mane, I used Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, So Saffron, and Soft Sea Foam markers.  After the mane was colored I used the Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the mane and the horn.  The image was then mounted onto a piece of Balmy Blue card stock.  A strip of Balmy Blue 6″ x 6″ designer series paper was cut and also mounted on to a piece of Balmy Blue card stock.  The designer series paper strip was added to a Whisper White card base on the left hand side of the front.  The image panel was attached to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Leave a Little Sparkle creation.

Check out this pretty unicorn. This Leave a Little Sparkle creation is fun to color and what child wouldn't love to receive this.

This swirl will be a favorite on my cards. This colorful one was colored using the same colors from the mane of the Leave a Little Sparkle creation.
