Karen Burniston Workshop – Card 2

Happy Easter Ladies!

Today is a day for family.  This will be short so that everyone can spend time with their loved ones.

My card today is the second card we made at the workshop I attended.  This card uses the Lucy Label Pop Up.  We used a sanding block to sand the top of the embossed sheet.  This made the butterflies pop.  There was a window sheet attached to the cut out butterfly.  The patterned paper was attached to the bottom and I tied a bow around it.  I had to attach the pop up to the card base.  The butterflies were cut with one of her accessory dies.  We had lacy ones as well as solid ones.  I layered them in opposite ways to add some interest.  I took the one that had the solid butterfly on top and lined it up with the cut out on the cover.  I then attached it to the pop up.  The other butterfly was attached to the another layer of the pop up.  The oval was then attached and the extra was cut off.  The final piece was to attach the Thinking of You peel off.  Here is another card we made.
