Lighting the Way simple idea
Hello Everyone – I shared today’s Lighting the Way simple idea last week in my Facebook Live and loved it so much I thought I would share it here.
I saw this idea on Tamara Bertram’s blog and put my spin on her idea. I loved the glitter paper mimicking the light ray of the lightning bug so I pulled out my glitter paper and made my version. I am a lover of glitter so this was right up my alley. This is a simple idea but is so pretty.
The star of the show with today’s card is that sparkly glitter paper. The glitter paper is the new one that does not shed which is great for card making.
This was a Facebook Live so I have edited it to cut out a lot of the chit chat. Check out how to make this adorable card.
Can you believe all the sparkle on this card? That glitter paper is perfect to use with the lighting bugs.
The coordinating stamp set has a cute lightning bug you can use to decorate the inside of your card and envelope. I colored it with the markers to get the 2 colors like the one on the card front.
I have used glimmer and glitter paper for some other cards. Here is an idea that uses the ombre glitter paper to create a sunset background. To add an accent to your card, you can use a panel of it to add some sparkle when you feel you need it on your card like the panel on this card.
