Magnolia Blooms Meets Very Versailles

Happy Monday Everyone ~ I used a favorite set again with another set for my Magnolia Blooms Meets Very Versailles creation.

Are you ready to start your week?  I am sure it will be busy for me as I have the girls today and I also need to meet someone at Kay’s house to have her water tested.  Then I need to find something to do with the girls.  Maybe we will go to the Calvert Marine Museum.  I need to see if they have anything going on or if we will be able to just go in and look around.  Hopefully I can find the family pass they have.

Today’s card paired my favorite set with another set I have.  I have wanted to show you the versatility of the Very Versailles stamp set by using it with other sets.  The leaf spray in this set makes the perfect background for your card.  For today’s card I also used it with the Magnolia Blooms stamp set.  I began with a card base of Mossy Meadow.  I stamped the leaf spray in the upper left hand corner and lower right hand corner using Mossy Meadow ink.   I took a 2″ x 3″ piece of Magnolia Lane designer series paper and mounted it onto a Whisper White panel a little bigger than the designer series paper.  This panel was added to the center of the card front.  Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink I stamped the magnolia flower from the stamp set.  The leaves were coloring using the ink in the lid technique.  I colored the center of the flower with a sponge dauber and Petal ink.  The flower was then fussy cut out.  Using the leaf die from Frosted Bouquet, I cut out some of the leaf sprigs using Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, and vellum card stock.  The leaf sprigs were attached to the back of the flower using glue dots.  The flower was then added to the lower right hand of the designer series paper using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Magnolia Blooms Meets Very Versailles creation

This simple card is easy to do and uses just 2 stamp sets. Check out the Magnolia Blooms Meets Very Versailles idea.

The Magnolia Blooms stamp set is a great alternative to the big bloom in the Annual Catalog.  I used the set with some vellum for this All Occasion card.  Here is an idea using the small bud stamp to create a tag.  This Thank You card uses some of the Magnolia Lane designer series paper for a quick and easy idea.
