Hello Everyone ~ we had a collage for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge so I created this Snow Collage Inspiration idea.
It is supposed to be cold the next few days but at least the sun will be shining. I need to get to the grocery store to get something for dinner for the next few nights. Jess gets back late on Wednesday so I have 2 more dinners to prepare for. With my sister in the hospital still I am not certain if I will go back on Friday or not. I want to wait and see if I need to stay and help Jess out. If I stay I will be checking out Kay’s stash to see what she has I can use to make cards so I have something to post. I have cards through this weekend so I am good for a while.
We have a biweekly challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This challenge was one I did. It is an inspiration challenge. I came up with this photo as our inspiration.
I thought it would be fun to get some snow cards for inspiration since it is cold right now. I was inspired by the photo in the upper right hand corner so I decided to use it to create my card. I began with a piece of Night of Navy that measured 3 3/4″ x 5″. The embossing buddy was swiped over the entire panel to help with stray flecks of embossing. The sentiment was stamped with Whisper White ink and then embossing powder was added. The snowflakes from Colorful Seasons and the dots from Perennial Birthday were stamped using Whisper White ink. Whisper White embossing powder was added and then the panel was heat embossed. Once all the embossing powder was melted, a towel was used to wipe off the excess embossing buddy powder. This panel was then added to a panel of Sparkle glimmer paper using glue dots. These panels were then added to a Night of Navy card base. Here is my completed Snow Collage Inspiration creation.

How about some other ideas for snow cards. This is a great Winter card that used the Buffalo Check background stamp along with some Let It Snow designer series paper. If you like doing eclipse cards, check out this idea that used the large letter dies. You can also combine watercoloring with some die cut snowflakes for a pretty card.
