Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge – Spring

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday we had an ice storm.  It was freezing rain from about 7 am until around 8 pm.  There was a coating on everything.  I took some pictures that would show you the ice we got.  These were taken outside my sunroom.

Ok, now on to my card.  Today is the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge at Technostamper.  Each week Mary Jo gives us a great sketch.  This week was no different.

When I saw this I immediately thought of making a Spring card.  With all the snow and cold everyone has had recently, I thought we could use a pretty card with some colors that will help us look forward to the upcoming change in the weather.  I decided to use the Gold Soiree ds paper as I loved the colors and they just said Spring to me.  I also decided to use the Autumn Accents Bigz die to make some Spring leaves.  After I die cut the leaves I crumbled them and sponged on some ink on the creases.  Here is what my final card looked like.

Did my card make you smile?  I hope it gave you some hope that warm weather will be here soon.  Make sure you check out Mary Jo’s blog – Technostamper  to see all the other creations.  There are some great cards on the blog.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am hoping that Michaela gets her flight straightened out.  With all the issues to get here on Friday her flight back to Connecticut got canceled.  Have a Marvelous Monday!
