Perfect Day

Hello Stampers ~ Is today a Perfect Day for you?

Wow I was running yesterday!  I was going all day long and was so glad when it was the evening and I could sit down.  Then I still had to do my post for today as well as finish my bedding laundry.  I have a feeling it will be a late night for me!

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  We are focusing on Mother’s Day but we could not use flowers.

I had an idea for this challenge but when I started working on this I went in an entirely different direction.  I thought about what I would like to do for Mother’s Day and thought it would be nice to relax on the beach.  So I went with that idea.  I used the Day at the Beach stamp set and created a beach scene.  I tore a post it note and sponged on my sand.  I then flipped the post it note and sponged in my water.  I stamped the sun in the upper corner.  The umbrella, hat, and flip flops were stamped and colored with markers.  I then fussy cut them out  All I needed to do then was add them to my card front using dimensionals.  I created my sentiment using 2 stamps in the stamp set.  I used some masking and selective inking to get my sentiment.  I punched a decorative label out of Pacific Point and added the sentiment.  It was added to my card base with dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be working on some projects for my upcoming my classes as well as some cards for posting later this week.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and I hope today is a Perfect Day for you!
