Pocket card Stampin’ Up! Halloween idea

Hello Everyone – today’s Pocket card Stampin’ Up! Halloween idea was the result of a video I saw and knew I had to make my version.

I am always looking for new ideas and the other day I found a fun one to use for Week 11 of the 12 Weeks of Halloween on a you tube video. Michelle Allen shared her Halloween version of a double flap pocket card. I thought the idea would be fun to do for one of my granddaughters. I pulled out the Black & White designs and the Rustic Harvest pattern papers, various ribbons I had, and the current and retired Paper Pumpkins to use to make and decorate the card.

The Black & White design pattern paper was the beginning of the Pocket card Stampin’ Up! Halloween idea and allowed me to use a variety of Halloween colors. I even used alcohol markers and blending brushes to color a few of the patterns. Click the image below to add this fun paper to your craft stash.

I added stars and the skull and cross bones from past Paper Pumpkin kits. The sentiment was from this years Halloween kit. The sentiment is on a flap that opens so the card front can open up.

Once the card front is open it folds out to reveal several pockets. These are great places to tuck tags and photos or to use for journaling pieces.

The Pocket card Stampin' Up! Halloween idea opened to show the pockets on the inside of the card.

All the pockets allow you to add lots of tags. I used a variety of punches and images to create these cute tags. I did put a Halloween message on the back of the tags for a fun message for my granddaughter.

I am thinking this Pocket card Stampin’ Up! Halloween idea will need more postage so I will take it to the post office to make sure it has enough to get to the recipient. I loved the cute spider web in the Paper Pumpkin this month so I used it and the spider from the Bewitching stamp set to decorate the inside of the card and the envelope.
