Shiplap Bee Hive home decor idea

Hello everyone – I am up on the Clear Scraps blog with this Shiplap Bee Hive home decor idea.

For today’s project I used the Shiplap medium beehive and the BEE Happy chipboard embellishment sheet from the Clear Scraps store. You will also need black, red, white and yellow paint, brown magic marker, black with white polka dots wide ribbon and yellow gingham 1” wide ribbon, gold foil paper, Hexagon dies, embossing tool (or something that has a round tip), glitter glue, strong glue, and paintbrushes.

Today’s project

This was a lot of fun to make and I love the yellow and black bow at the top. I had the idea to paint the sentiment black and put white polka dots on it. It was easy to do as I used my embossing tool and white acrylic paint to make the dots.

To accent the lines in the bee hive a brown magic marker was perfect. I also added some clear glitter glue to the bees wings but they look green in the photo.
