#ShopYourCraftStash Awash With Color

Hello Stampers ~ I have a simple #ShopYourCraftStash Awash With Color idea for you today.

I spent yesterday cleaning my bathroom and house.  I had to vacuum using my wall vac as I had lots of dust bunnies so I knew it was time to pull out the big vac.  I also cleaned my bathroom and the bathroom in my studio.  The floor in the studio had lots of little pieces of paper so I used the vacuum there also.  Between all that and reading the required number of pages in my book so that I am ready for the book club on Monday night I was only able to make my card for today.  That means today I do not have anything I have to do so I can play all day in my studio.  I have lots I want to do!

I went shopping in Craft Stash yesterday to see what set I had I wanted to play with.  I saw the Awash With Color set and decided to see what I could do with it.  My colors came from a color challenge I found online and I liked the combination so used them.  I began with smaller than usual piece of Whisper White ~ 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ ~ and I stamped the outline image of the flower using Rococo Rose ink on the right hand side of the panel.  The solid image was stamped using the Petal Pink ink to fill it in.  The images in this set are not intended to fill in the entire stamped space so if that bothers you you can color it in.  I like the look as it give it a whimsical look.  Next I stamped the stem using the Pretty Peacock ink.  A Mint Macaron marker was used to color in the stem and leaves.  A piece of Rococo Rose In Color dsp with the writing on it was cut at and then attached to the bottom of the stamped panel.  This panel was attached to a Pretty Peacock panel that was 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Then these panels were added to a Whisper White panel that was 4″ x 5 1/4″.  The layered panels were added to a Rococo Rose card base.  I needed a sentiment for the upper left hand corner and found one I liked in the Very Versailles set.  This was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White using Rococo Rose ink.  To mount it I cut a frame from the Ornate Frames dies using Rococo Rose card stock.  The 2 were layered and then attached to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the completed #ShopYourCraftStash Awash With Color.

I love pairing retired with current. The #ShopYourCraftStash Awash With Color card does that. All the details are on my blog.

Have you seen some of my other #ShopYourCraftStash ideas?  This card has some dry embossing and a flower stem that is the focal image.  This idea uses retired designer series paper with a current stamp set for a flowery card.  This card has some retired designer series paper for a pretty daisy card.
