When I saw this stencil and die cut I knew I had to use them together. I got them from a friend and I love how the 2 go so well together.
Today’s Project
I knew I wanted the stencil on an ivory paper with soft brown lettering. I chose a color and used the stencil and a brush to add the words. When I removed the stencil the lettering was darker than I wanted. I think it would have looked better if the color was lighter. I cut the nativity die from navy cardstock. It is a long die and I had to adjust my placement of it as it was longer than the cardstock I was adding it to. I mounted it onto a piece of navy pattern paper with stars. This was then added to an ivory card base.
After I had stenciled I also realized I could have done just the 2 lines of the stencil. So many options with this stencil! I finished it off with some gold gems.

I used a preprinted image of a cute nativity scene on this card. I also had this nativity stamp set and used it to create this card.
