Silver Threads

Hello Stampers!

Wow it got cold last night.  Jess and I both have had a hard time warming up today.  I had a photo from my friend in Chicago and she had snow on Saturday.  We were not that cold today as the sun was shining which helped.  I would love to have snow for Christmas but our chances are very slim.

I had not played with some challenges lately so checked out the blogs to see what I could find.  I found a color challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches

I decided to use an idea I saw in one of my Facebook groups where they use vellum.  I pulled out the October Paper Pumpkin to use the image as it can look like a poinsettia.  I stamped my image on the vellum in Memento Black and colored the back with the Watermelon Wonder marker.  I added some sparkle by using my clear star gelly roll pen to the stamen.  I cut them out and determined where they would be on the front of my card.  I stamped the leaf sprays strategically based on where the flowers would be.  I wanted something in the upper right hand corner so I pulled out my embossing folder – Lucky Stars – and just embossed the upper corner.  To use the Metallic Silver in the color challenge I  pulled out my metallic thread.  Here is what my creation looked like.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be preparing for a class tonight but I will also take some time to play!  Have a Terrific Tuesday!
