Simple But Elegant

Hello Stampers ~ Are you like me and love simple but elegant cards?  I have an idea to share with you today.

Well I don’t know where yesterday went?  Before I knew it it was 9:00 pm.  I did manage to walk with Jess.   Today I have 3 classes back to back.  I am sure by the evening I will be ready to relax!

Today is the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

I looked at these colors on Sunday evening.  I then thought about it all Sunday evening and most of Monday.  In the evening I thought I had come up with an idea.  I started stamping and it ended up entirely different from what I had thought about.

I was originally going to stamp the leaves on Pink Pirouette using Night of Navy and gold embossing.  The more I thought about it I just did not like the look I was going to get.  I switched to white card stock and stamped the leaves in Pink Pirouette, Night of Navy, and gold embossing.  I like this look so I decided to try some gold satin ribbon.  I was originally going to use a bow but when I tied it and laid it on the card I did not like it.  I decided to use a strip of gold with a knot tied on it.  I liked it much better.  I then decided to add a sentiment which I used the Project Life framelits to cut out.  I added a layer of navy behind it and my card was complete.  Here is my finished creation.

Head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what ideas the design team came up with.  Then we would love to have you play along with with!

Thanks for visiting me today.  Will you be creative today?  Have a Terrific Tuesday and I would love for you to share your simple but elegant card with me!

  1. This fits the bill for simple but elegant very well. Love how you combined the three colors.
