Simple Saturday – Colorful Angles

Hello Frozen Stampers!

I had such a productive day yesterday.  I got the Hello Life Project  kit from the Occasions Catalog and I put it together.  I modified it using ideas from other demonstrators.  I have another grand daughter due any day now and I wanted the frame to put pictures of Zoie and her new little sister on.  I will also be changing the colors every so often as I change the pictures.  I am excited I got it completed.

I also spent time working on some projects using the December Paper Pumpkin.  I had made the 3 original cards back in December but had not worked on the kit since then.  I took it with me on Wednesday and made 3 other cards.  I ran across some other ideas from another demo that I decided to try.  I will share them at a later date as I still have a project I am working on.

Today I have a simple card for Simple Saturday.  I decided to use a sketch challenge from C.A.S. Clean and Simple Colours and Sketches.

This was such a different sketch that I really wanted to give it a try.  I did decide to flip the sketch for what I wanted to do.  I first addressed the 2 rectangles.  For one I wanted to use a border stamp and washi tape.  For the other one I decided to do some embossing.  After that I went with a simple sentiment in the large space.  Here is my Simple Saturday card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I like the look of this simple card.  Make sure you come back tomorrow to see how I step it up.  I think you will be surprised.  Have a Super Saturday!

  1. Honestly – I prefer this simpler version of your card to the one with the ribbon and the tag! You should link this one at CC&S, too! 🙂

  2. Soft and pretty and the angles are wonderful – the Washi Tape is a nice little addition!

  3. Great use of the sketch, love the soft pastel colours and the contrast of the embossed triangle. Thanks for playing at CC&S.

  4. Thanks for your second entry into our challenge. Like Patricia I think I prefer this more CAS version of your card. Stef x
