Snow

Hello Ladies ~ I have some Snow for you today!

Well I was hoping for some snow for us today but we were not lucky enough to get any.  Our weather is controlled a lot by the Chesapeake Bay.  The Bay is still a little to warm for it to snow in our area.   We also usually get our snow with storms that form off the coast in North Carolina and then travels north.  A lot of people don’t understand that but historically that has been the history for years.  I was bummed.

I had some more watercolor paper left that I decided to make my own snow.  I found a great sketch that was perfect for the piece I had left.  The sketch was from Paper Craft Crew Challenge blog

I had used some watercolors to create the background for this card.  Watered down paint was used with a paint brush to swipe the color across the watercolor paper.  After it was dry, I used some watered down white paint to splatter onto the background.  Night of Navy was the color I mounted my piece onto.  Some washi tape was used down the upper right hand corner.  I used the retired rotary stamp for my sentiment.  Some silver thread was added to the back of the sentiment.  The sentiment was then added to the upper right hand corner with dimensionals.  To address the splotches down the right hand side of the sketch, I used the snowflakes from Holly Jolly Greetings to stamp down the side.  I mounted the snow panel using dimensionals.  My card was complete!  Here is my creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Did you get any snow in your area?  Have a Fabulous Friday and I hope you enjoyed my Snow today!
