Stampin’ Up Full Basket of lavender
Hello Stampers – I used some of my dies to create a Stampin’ Up Full Basket of lavender.
I ran across a card from another company and they had used dies to make a vase of lavender. I decided to see if I could achieve the same look using my dies. That meant I had to look at my dies in a new way. I had to see if I had one I could use that would give me the look of stalks of lavender as well as something I could use for a vase. I did not have one that would work for a vase but I did have a basket and knew I could make it a flower pot. Look at what I did with my dies!

Looking at your dies in a new way can open up your card making. Check out the Full Basket dies that can be used as a flower pot. What else could this die be?

Look at how I used the basket die to make a flower pot in this video.
To decorate the inside of the card and envelope I used the negative from the die cut and sponged on the same colors I used for the die cuts.

For added interest I used the Brick & Mortar embossing folder. No sentiment as I wanted the lavender to be the center of attention.

I have used the basket several times to hold various items. This one has apples in it. And how about this idea that was a basketful of snowballs.
So did you like how I made that basket a flower pot? We sometimes have to think outside the box to extend the use of our dies and to be able to create what we want.
Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you with the Stampin’ Up Full Basket of lavender.
Have a Fabulous Friday!
