Stampin’ Up Irresistible Blooms in Spring colors

Hello Everyone – I played with some bright colors for the Stampin’ Up Irresistible Blooms in Spring colors card.

I love the colors of Spring. It is so great to see the bright colors after the dreary days of Winter. I was inspired by a challenge at Simply Create Too to use some Spring colors. I knew the Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party would be perfect for this challenge.

I needed a layout and found a fun one at Paper Craft Crew Challenges. I loved the tag ad a focal point on the card front. I also used some of the ombre Orchid Oasis glimmer paper for lots of sparkle. The flowers and leaves were stamped and embossed with White then I dropped in some reinker to color them. Look at this bright Spring idea!

Look at these beautiful Spring colors! Love playing with them after the dreary days of Winter. Learn more about the product used for my Stampin' Up Irresistible Blooms in Spring Colors card.

The Irresistible Blooms bundle in the Online Exclusives has been very popular. It has sold out but will be back in stock in the middle of April. Watch the site and order yours before it sells out again!

I decided to try some embossing and watercoloring of the flowers. One thing I did not do was use the right paper. I should have used the Shimmery White paper but used white instead. I think the ink would have spread better if I had. So don’t make my mistake, use the Shimmery White card stock for your flowers.

I love the sparkle you get when you use the glimmer paper. The 2022 – 2024 In Color glimmer paper has an ombre look making it a great choice for this card.

Use the same image you used on the from of your card to decorate the inside of your card and envelope. The flower and leaf image is perfect for the Stampin' Up Irresistible Blooms in Spring Colors card.

I have used the glimmer paper in other cards. Here is a simple idea that uses the same color as today’s card. The glimmer paper used on this card has retired but in case you have some in your stash, here is another idea for you.

Have you tried embossing and watercoloring an image? I love how you get different tones from the same ink with this technique. I hope I inspired you to try this fun technique!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
