Hello Stampers ~ today I have some stripes for you!
I am headed to the Scrappin’ for Soldiers event today. I will be spending the day crafting! I have my album with me that I need to work on but I also grabbed a few other items in case I get the album finished or I need a mental break from the planning. I am looking forward to this as I have not done something like this in quite a while.
I played with the color challenge at Color Throwdown
These colors were a challenge for me in trying to get them figured out how I was going to use them. I decided to use the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink Challenge blog to go along with the colors.
I pulled out my Petite Petals stamp set and matching punch. I stamped the flowers on the card stock with matching ink. I then used the punch to punch them out. I laid them on my card to get an idea what I wanted it to look like. When I was happy with the placement, I used glue dots and stampin’ dimensionals to attach them to my card. I then stamped and punched my sentiment. I still needed to address the flower in the sketch. I went looking at my stamp sets and found the dragonfly in Awesomely Artistic. I stamped it and used the Wink of Stella pen to add some sparkle. Here is my final creation.
