Anything Goes Saturday – some more journal pages

Hello everyone – I created some more ideas for my Anything Goes Saturday – some more journal pages today.
Well I lost this post so I am recreating it. It may not be the same but it will be close.
I have been using what I learned in class to create the focal images on my other pages. It is interesting to use the pieces from the collection and combine them on my page.
Today’s Project
For the first page I wanted to tie in the tall image on the right hand side. I pulled in the tall botanical piece and added a frame with some smaller leaf sprays inside. The next page is the back of the copy paper page. It is very flimsy so I added a piece of pattern paper from the collection to give it some stability. Page 3 had a busy background so I chose to use some simple ephemera so it did not get lost in the page. The last page also had a busy background so I found a panel from another sheet and cut it out. To ensure it did not get lost on the page I mounted it on some cardstock that matched the image.

Jamie loves her butterflies so most of the pages have used one from the laser cuts or vellum ephemera.

I have liked the sentiments in this collection. I can relate to most of them so it has been easy to choose one for all the pages that needed one.

While I created my cover you can make a simple journal using a piece of cardboard and some rings like this one. You can also create a small journal like this one to document your events for December.

With today’s pages I learned that using a piece of copy paper is not a good thing. It is not strong enough to withstand constant opening and closing. Will not be using that again. I do love how I can use what I have learned in this class like the Anything Goes Saturday – some more journal pages for my focal images on my cards.
Have a Super Saturday!
