Adorable Santa Christmas Countdown card
Happy Friday Stampers – I will be sharing a project each Friday from now until Christmas and the Adorable Santa Christmas Countdown card is the first.
It is hard to believe there are only 11 weeks left until Christmas. I hope you have started your shopping and making your Christmas cards. From now until Christmas I will share an idea with you in case you need another card to complete your collection.
Today’s Project
Today’s idea uses one of my favorite stamps for the holiday season. I have had it for many years and it has long been discontinued. You can still find it but you will pay quite a bit for it.
I began by stamping the image with Tuxedo Black ink on an ivory cardstock. I mounted it onto a piece of gold cardstock. The card base is a Z-fold card. I chose 2 pattern papers that I thought would be great with the image. The front fold got the red mottled piece that I mounted on gold also. I closed the card and measured from the fold to the right side of the card base. This gave me the measurement for the piece on the right inside of the card. It was mounted onto gold also and then attached to the card base.
I did not add any color to the Santa as I wanted it to stand out from the pattern paper. I added a double bow to the corner of the stamped image.
