Pretty birthday card with CutCardStock

Hello everyone – I needed a card for my daughter so I design this Pretty birthday card with CutCardStock for her.

I have 2 daughters and both were born in September. I always struggle for cards for them as now they are grown and have very different tastes. I am sharing one of the cards I made.

Today’s Project

Michaela’s birthday is first. She loves pastels so I struggle with her cards. I know CutCardStock has some great pastels so I chose a pattern paper with a strip of flowers that I fussy cut out. I then found the perfect match for my layers. I saw this fancy fold online and searched high and low for the directions. Could not find them so I tackled it myself. I am please with how it came out. The way it folds I added my message to the back panel of the card.

The fold is similar to a z-fold but the right panel had a mountain fold rather than a valley fold. I would say it is a C fold card. To get it to stay in the C shape there is a strip that is glued into place on the top and bottom of the C shape.

I have used the pattern paper on this card for another pretty pink card. Here is a simple fancy fold I made for my grandson’s birthday using CutCardStock also.
