Simple Santa idea for CutCardStock

Hello everyone – this Simple Santa idea for CutCardStock card is adorable!

I really wanted to add ink to the raised striped but no matter what I tried I ended up with ink on more than the stripes. The candy cane stripes would have been so fun for his background.

Today’s Project

I love this image of Santa. I have had it a few years and can’t wait to use him on my cards. I could not find him one year and thought I had lost him but he showed up the next year. Now I make sure to put him in my Christmas collection so I have him every year. He is a simple but adorable image. I inked him up with Versafine Clair Nocturne and stamped him on a white panel. He was mounted on a red panel. You could add some sparkle to his beard to give it some bling.

I had a striped embossing folder in my stash and knew it would be great as a background. Tried everything to ink the stripes with red to make it look like a candy cane but did not have any success. Anyone have any suggestions for me? To finish it off I added some gold sequins.
