Mixed Media Monday #9
Hello everyone – I played with my art journal again yesterday and created this Mixed Media Monday #9 idea.
I love the background I created with this one. I think I ran into some issues with the extra layers added.
Today’s Project
I started by using some masking tape to tape off the edges of the page. Then I added some ink to the whole page to tone down the white page. I then used other colors and stencils to add some patterns. Different stamps were used to add some other patterns to the corners. I used 2 leaf rub-ons – hard to see with all the other items I added. I think I should have left off the other items and just gone with the leaves. A frame was created and added to the page framing the rub-ons and sticker.
I pulled in a banner from my stash to add to the corner of the frame. A sentiment was added to a label and the label was added with foam adhesives.

Mixed Media does not have to be detailed. It can be a simple idea like this card. It can also include specialty paper and some die cuts like this lighthouse card.
