Sunday Ideas – Sailor’s Light
Hello everyone – I ran across some unique papers and ordered them and created this Sunday Ideas – Sailor’s Light card.
I love specialty paper and always looking for it to add to my stash. Journalsay has some great color collections with fun, interesting paper. I ordered a package of each color and when I saw this netting I immediately thought of ocean water.
Today’s Project
I found 2 papers from the blue collection that I knew would be great for a water scene card. I searched my stash and ran across the lighthouse dies. The background paper was a piece that reminded me of handmade paper with fun pieces of threads mixed in. I topped it with the net looking specialty paper which reminded me of underwater when the sun hits it.
I kept it simple with a general sentiment. I used the dies to create a scene using the lighthouse and some folders. It was finished off with some gold gems.

red cardstock – scrap for die cutting
specialty paper – blue handmade looking – 4″ x 5 1/2″
blue netting – 4″ x 5 1/2″
