Anything Goes Saturday – Lisa Horton metallic inks

Hello everybody – I had some play time with some new inks and created the Anything Goes Saturday – Lisa Horton metallic inks card.

I saw the inks being demonstrated on You Tube and liked the look they created. I ordered a package of neutral inks and this is my first play with them.

Today’s Project

I love sparkle on my cards and when I saw the look you get with these inks I had to order them. When I got them I set them aside and said I would come back to them. Well time passed and I ran across them in my organization and knew they would be great for this Anything Goes Saturday series. I went looking for the video I saw them demonstrated in but could not find them so I googled them and found some suggestions.

The first way I used them was to do some ink smooshing to create a background. I used the Platinum ink on a navy cardstock to create a night sky. It is hard to catch the shimmer and shine in a picture but in the video you can see it. The second way was to stamp an image with it. I found a pretty open image to use with the Rose Gold ink. Here are the cards I created using the ink.

To have the clouds stand out on the background I took a silver gel pen and traced the edge. I cut the moon and star using shimmer paper. I used a metallic panel as the background. I found a ribbon in my stash that matched and added it to my card.

This is my first play with the metallic inks. I have used metallic watercolors on the center of these daisies.
